South Korea

I have chosen South Korea as my country of choice. South Korea is a country in East Asia that borders along North Korea. The country is known for its advanced technology and creating major industries that include cars and electronics. The capital of South Korea is Seoul which is home for the majority of Koreans. Most of the country is filled with numerous of mountains and extensive coastline with many small islands. Surrounding South Korea are multiple countries that include China facing west, Japan facing southeast and Russia to northeast. Since South Korea borders North Korea they share a heavy militarized zone which was established after the North and South Korean war around the 1950's. Because of the amount of mountains in South Korea they face a lot of challenges that includes rapid rainfall which create typhoons and floods. They also face a number of tsunamis which are caused by climate change, which increases rain and their sea levels.

A hazard is a possible source of harm which usually means there is potential of harm. It could cause damage or harm to a person or a thing. There are many types of hazards that include chemical, biological, physical and etc. Disasters are events that usually end in harming anything living and damage environments. Disasters can be caused by many things but they are most usually caused by humans and nature. Most common disasters are natural disasters which are earthquakes, tsunamis, tornados and many more. Catastrophes are similar to disasters but more intense and cause a significance amount of loss. They are usually caused by either nature and even humans. Some example of catastrophes are wildfires, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, terrorism, and technological failures.
